About this artwork

A serrated ring of tiny diamond tiles moves from red and orange at the edge through yellow, green and blue to violet, then a gold band leads the eye to a green centre with six orange, dotted petals.

Chromatic Inner Focus works like a guided breath. The outer rings are loud and busy, every colour of the spectrum laid down in small diamond cells, but as they move inward they deepen to blue and violet and then stop at a calm gold line. Inside, the pace changes completely: a ring of white fans, a green field of tiny flowers and six simple petals.

The colours follow the order of the rainbow, the same sequence often used to represent the chakras from root to crown, so the journey from edge to centre also reads as a journey inward. Drawing the eye to a single point is what mandalas have always been for, and Anusuya made this one with focus, clarity and mindfulness in mind. It is intended to bring calm through concentration, and it suits a study, yoga space or home office.
